At Texas Royalty, we typically develop drilling prospects in-house, but we also actively pursue new oil and gas projects.  Our primary focus has been the drilling of shallow oil prospects, but gas prospects are back on our radar. We are equipped to undertake leasing and drilling operations on most any project that is economically advantageous. 

 

On most drilling prospects, we prefer to be involved on ground floor geologic ideas that have not yet been leased.  We will fund all leasing and pay a geologic fee and override commensurate with the project.

 

We prefer to operate most prospects submitted to us, especially if the prospect is in the Texas region, but we will certainly consider operating quality prospects throughout the U.S.  We also entertain investing in any quality, non-operated prospects; we have participated in prospects in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Kansas, Alabama and California.
